A walk as seen through my phone’s lens

I thought I’d write about a beautiful hike I went on recently. On Saturday a small group of us set off from Muizenberg in Cape Town. We walked along the path that runs next to the crashing waves. We had to remain constantly vigilant as at any moment a wave could crash over the path and drench us! The path goes to St James, its beach always recognizable by the brightly colored little huts. We had to join the road for the short stretch to Kalk bay and it was only once here that our walk really began!

The rest of the hike will be told through pictures.

Kalk bay

Leaving Kalk bay behind we set off, up the steep hill.

Fairly high up now, we looked back over the brilliant blue ocean.

After incredibly beautiful mountainside, the path wends its way through 2 little forests. The shade they provided was greatly appreciated!

A giant boulder, worn away by years of rain made a nice little home for these plants...and made a good case for believing in faeries!

Still high up but coming down, the coast looks beautiful!

And this is looking the other way. That beach in the distance is a favorite for surfers.

Finally, tired but happy, we found a narrow stair case leading back down.

That was my hike, I hope you enjoyed it with me!
